SPECIAL MOSQUE TOUR FOR LAW STUDENTS AT JAWATTE MOSQUE, COLOMBO

A group photograph of the team that conducted the immensely successful Mosque Tour for Law College Students at Jawatte Mosque in Colombo on the 22nd instant. Picture shows the Directors of CIS Harmony Center, the organisers of the event, the Mosque Tour Guide Team, Calligraphy Team, the Brothers and Sisters of the Muslim Majlis of Law College who facilitated the event and a section of the visitors from Law College.

A Special Mosque tour for students of the Law College was held yesterday at Jawatte Jumma Mosque on Torrington Road, Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo.

The Mosque Tour organized by the Centre for Islamic Studies Harmony Center in association with the Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum and the Muslim Majlis of Law College, Colombo had eighty students of the Law College participating.

Besides a Guided Tour of this beautiful mosque situated in serene surroundings, the program involved Q and A Sessions, Poster Walkthrough, Free Distribution of Islamic Literature Clearing Misconceptions of the Islamic faith, Free Calligraphy of Visitors Names in Ornate Arabic Script, a Henna Corner for the Ladies and Serving of Traditional Muslim Foods.

Asiff Hussein, Vice President Outreach CIS Harmony Center thanked all those who supported the event including the team of Mosque Tour Guides led by Mohamed Fawaz, Team of Calligraphists led by Ashfaq Marzook, the Muslim Majlis of Law College, Jamiah Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies and the Trustees of Jawatte Mosque Colombo, especially Messrs Fazal Abdeen and Hameed Saleh for all assistance rendered in making the event an immense success.
