Yet another successful ‘Welcome to our Mosque’ Program was organised by the Centre for Islamic Studies Harmony Center in association with the Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum, Kegalle District Secretariat, Masjids Federation of Kegalle and the Trustees of the Mosque.
Around 750 visitors of other faiths attended the event including state officials, public servants, army officers, police personnel, school teachers and students and others from all walks of life.
The Mosque Tour included a Guided Tour of the Mosque, Poster Walkthrough, Book Corner, Henna Corner, Free Calligraphy of Visitors’ names and Serving of Traditional Muslim Foods.
Asiff Hussein, Vice President, Outreach, CIS Harmony Center, thanked the Trustees of the Mosque for their exceptional support, concerned government agencies, Islamic seminaries including Jamiah Naleemiah, Fathih Academy, Tanweer Academy and Haqqaniya Arabic College for their continued support in providing volunteers for the Mosque Tour and Calligraphy and not the least the sponsors of the event, the Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum supported by Diakonia.
He also thanked the Muslim Cultural Officer in Charge of Kegalle District, M.F.M.Rilwan for his support and assistance throughout the program.
