GRAND MOSQUE TOUR AT JAMIAH NALEEMIAH ISLAMIC INSTITUTE, BERUWALA
A grand mosque tour was held at Jamiah Naleemiah Campus Mosque in association with its Open Campus Day.
The Mosque Tour which was the highlight of the event had around 300 visitors participating in the program which included a guided tour of the mosque, Q & A Sessions, Poster Walkthrough, Distribution of Islamic literature clearing misconceptions of the Islamic faith, Calligraphy Corner with visitors names being inscribed in ornate Arabic calligraphy styles, Henna Corner for the ladies and serving of traditional Muslim Foods.
Asiff Hussein, Vice President Outreach, Centre for Islamic Studies Harmony Center which organised the event in association with Jamiah Naleemiah’s Salam Centre for Peace and Dialogue said that they hoped that just as the mosques were opening up to the public, it was important that Islamic seminaries also open up to the public on certain occasions at least, so that mosque tours could be held in campus mosques as well.
Hussein thanked the Management and Academic staff of Jamiah Naleemiah led by its Rector Sheikh Mohamed Agar as well as its students who played a very important role in the Campus and Mosque Tour. Other supporting institutions included Fathih Academy which provided a very professional calligraphy team and Haqqaniya Arabic College whose graduates served as Supporting Mosque Tour Guides.
Hussein also thanked the CIS the Mosque Tour Team headed by Mohamed Fawaz which has conducted numerous Mosque Tour Programs in most parts of the country under its “Welcome to our Mosque” theme as well as its female team of Mosque Tour Guides headed by Sister Nushka Sadhardeen which made a very important contribution to the event.
