BEST MOSQUE TOUR EVER!
Yet another successful ‘Welcome to our Mosque’ Program was organised by the Centre for Islamic Studies Harmony Center in association with the Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum, and the Trustees of Mariyam Jumma Mosque in Kumarimulla, Pugoda.
Over 700 visitors of other faiths attended the event including Clergy of Buddhist and Christian faiths, state officials, police personnel, Special Task Force Members, school teachers and students and others from all walks of life.
The Mosque Tour included a Guided Tour of the Mosque, Q & A Sessions, Poster Walkthrough, Qur’an Display, Book Corner, Henna Corner, Hijab try-on Corner, Free Calligraphy of Visitors’ names and Serving of Traditional Muslim Foods.
Asiff Hussein, Vice President, Outreach, CIS Harmony Center, thanked the Trustees of the Mosque for their support, Islamic seminaries including Jamiah Naleemiah, Fathih Academy, Tanweer Academy and Haqqaniya Arabic College for their support in providing volunteers for the Mosque Tour and Calligraphy and the sponsors of the event, the Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum supported by Diakonia.
Hussein also thanked the Chief Trustee of the Mosque, Mohamed Safwan and the Main Co-Ordinator Sheikh Sajidh Khan for their unstinted support in making the program a success.
