Mosque Tour Program in Pottuvil a great success
A Mosque Tour Program organized by the Centre for Islamic Studies (CIS) was held successfully at Pottuvil Grand Mosque on Sunday 3rd December 2017.
This was the first occasion a mosque tour was held in the Eastern Province, said Asiff Hussein, Vice President-Outreach, CIS. Among the participants were members of the Security Forces, Police, STF, curious Hindu ladies, Christian fathers, a Buddhist monk and even a casual Western tourist, he added.
Besides a tour of this beautiful mosque, visitors were treated with traditional Muslim foods peculiar to the East, given free calligraphy of their names and gift packs and taken round a poster walkthrough. The ladies were also given a henna treat.
