We had our 14th Open Mosque Day at Beautiful Colpetty Jumma Mosque today. There were around 800 visitors of other faiths who participated including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Former President Mahinda Rajapakse, Sagala Rathnayake, JVP MPs ,Government Officials, Police Officers, Foreign Tourists and Journalists, among many others
Besides a tour of the mosque, visitors were served traditional Muslim foods, taken around a walk-through of posters clearing misconceptions of Islam, given free souvenirs of their names in beautiful Arabic calligraphy and for the ladies a special henna corner
